Husky film is founded by Thomas van der Gronde and Dennis Alink. Combining our backgrounds as writers, director, and cinematographer, we approach every project from within the craft itself, not just producing films, but shaping them from concept to screen.
We are a film production company dedicated to creating documentaries and fiction films with a strong narrative heart and a distinct visual identity.
We have the drive to create work that enters the wider cultural space, connecting with audiences well beyond festivals and the film industry. We’ve made films that have been theatrically released in over eight countries and have been distributed on platforms such as Netflix, NTR, VPRO, Videoland, Canal+, and KPN Presenteert. These experiences have strengthened our belief that stories should travel, reaching people who may not typically seek out to independent cinema, and engaging international audiences.
